Glasgow band Dead Pony have unveiled their latest recording ‘Sharp Tongues’. The single is an energetic and fiery blast of post-punk that revs with a stadium chanting chorus and pop melodies that equal one mountainous release. Singer Anne Shields is commanding, exuding pure confidence and might, spearheading the colossal instrumentation. Having already garnished support on BBC Radio 1, you can stream ‘Sharp Tongues’ below.
Touching on the song, Anne Shields said:
“Sharp Tongues’ is written about those people who absolutely grind your ears. Those people who are hellbent on spreading gossip and starting rumours. They are so unfulfilled with their boring lives, that to add a bit of spice they rely on stirring the pot and starting shit with people. I bet everyone had at least one-person spring to mind after reading that – and that is who this song is about.”
