Los Angeles artist CHILLEMI steps forth with the video for his single ‘Neon Bride’. Shot in Las Vegas, which seems like the perfect location, there is imagery of the good, old retro hotels, the classic wedding chapels where all couples who wish to skip out on the traditional, expensive or family non-approaved marriages go, and of course the Elvis clone. The setting brilliantly coincides with the hazy, speghetti western meets blues rock style sonics that are really enticing. ‘Neon Bride’ is directed by Ryan Rosewall. The track itself is taken from CHILLEMI’s forthcoming debut album With Woman, out April 23rd on Taxi Gauche Records.
Touching on the track, CHILLEMI said:
“‘Neon Bride’ came out of me mishearing a Lee Hazlewood line… when I realized he was not actually saying neon bride I figured that sounded like a good starting point for a song. Who doesn’t like neon? I got home and wrote the song in about 20 minutes straight through. It doesn’t always happen like that but when it does it feels like a gift so I always try to stay open to receive.”
