There are some things that men don’t get enough credit for such as being excellent nannies. Ed Cares of the London band CHILDCARE is an excellent example of men stepping up to prove that they too can look after and tend to the well being of the youth. This brings us to CHILDCARE’s latest single ‘Kiss?’. Based on an experience with a kid’s mother, the punk meets art pop tune is peppered with spice and energy as racing drums and streaking guitars come together in a harmonious manner. ‘Kiss?’ being an killer record with CHILDCARE being a band that should be on everyone’s radar.
Touching on ‘Kiss?’, Ed Cares stated:
“While waiting at the school gates to pick up the child I look after, I went to say hi to a couple of the mums I knew in the playground. I went to kiss one on the cheek just as she leant forward to pick something up from her bag on the ground. This left me hovering mid-air above her for a few seconds, at which point instead of returning to my natural standing position, I decided to draw her attention to my predicament by posing the question: ‘Kiss?’ She rose, we greeted, I blushed.”
‘Kiss?’ is out via via Lost in the Manor Records.
