Filthy Tricks Interview

When it comes to pure, unadulterated rock & roll, it doesn't get any better than Filthy Tricks. Based in Warrington, their sound is explosive, fostering that nostalgic feeling of when iconic bands ripped the roofs off of venues with might. Comprised of Liam Rimmer, Gerard Van Den Hoek, Chris Peake, Matty Hignett and Chris James, their no filler, nothing but the best approach to music is reflected in every aspect of each recording. It's about the quality and Filthy Tricks have stood more than true to that vision.

Aime Simone Interview

The Oxford dictionary defines the meaning of the word identity as "who or what somebody/something is". No one understands the importance of identity more than Aime Simone. The Berlin-based artist has defined who he is and what he stands for, refusing to let the past dictate his modern or future existence. Aime Simone's lyrics in his songs are equally external as they are introspective, as he sings of the state of the world whilst playing his part to uplift, yet also opens a window into his personal journey that has led him to where he is now.

Delacey Interview

Delacey represents the classic idea that talent mixed with hard work pays off. The Los Angeles-based artist has helped to write hit records for the likes of Halsey, Demi Lovato, Zara Larsson, The Chainsmokers and the list continues. While the credits to her name are incredibly impressive, as a singer Delacey is just as dynamic with a range that stretches across multiple genres.

ILIRA Interview

Give one listen and look at singer ILIRA and one will quickly come to the understanding that she was born to be a star. With a consistent record of pumping out impressive pop singles, themes of confidence and high self-esteem flow continuously in her songwriting. Aside from possessing a killer voice, her ear for polished production choices puts her in a win-win situation. At this point in her career the powerhouse artist can do no wrong.

Moodbay Interview

Moodbay is the dynamic band consisting of singer Anna Stephens and producer Alfie Cattell. Both also respective songwriters, the pair's sound, also known as moodpop, is a luscious blend of pop, R&B, club and electronica, erupting with flair and unstoppable grooves. The Manchester-based group's style is a result of their love of diverse music harking back to each of their earlier years. Raised in Darlington, Anna Stephens also lived in Paris, absorbing the wonders of the city, which would also play a factor in the development of her writing. Alfie Cattell, raised in Wales, grew up playing piano and would later become a skilled producer.

Scrounge Interview

London band Scrounge are explosive. Armed with simply a guitar, drums and microphones, the duo's sound is grand, in your face and ultimately as timely as ever in this current climate of political and sociological winding. Comprised of Lucy Alexander and Luke Cartledge, the pair use bold indie, noise, punk and post-punk sounds combined with thought-provoking and challenging lyrics to create records that are utterly power-punching.

Karen Harding Interview

Karen Harding is a true powerhouse artist. With a voice that rings with soul, she is also a music industry go-to for her phenomenal songwriting ability. With a CV that boasts working with the likes of Example, Giorgio Moroder, Le Youth, Wilkinson, Purple Disco Machine and more, her 2015 debut track 'Say Something' shot straight up the UK Singles Chart, earning Platinum status. Karen Harding's imprint was firmly planted, with her vocals blessing some of the hottest club tracks of the past few years.

Louise Lemón Interview

The term death gospel is attributed to the sound of Swedish artist Louise Lemón. While an immediate assumption of something rather dark could spring to mind, her music is the light, soul and beauty of any tempestuous moment. Lemón's voice is a siren of power, with her production palette consisting of psychedelic rock, atmospheric pop, rhythm and blues, alternative and more. Passion is evident in her songs and Louise Lemón knows how to deliver them in a manner that hit straight to the heart and soul.

Shannon Hemmett Interview

Shannon Hemmett is the epitome of what it means to be a multifacted artist. Not only is she a musician and singer in one of the most revered post-punk bands in the scene, ACTORS, but also operating in the field as a creative director, graphic designer, photographer and filmmaker, she has become an industry mainstay. As a painter, her work has sold in multiple countries, and now she can add tattooer to her list of credentials. Factor in her effortless style and what you get is an overall powerhouse who reigns at every discipline.

Chlöe Howl Interview

Chlöe Howl knows what she wants and isn’t scared to speak her truth. Raised in Berkshire, she was one of those musical prodigies who, blessed with an outstanding voice along with charisma, literally signed a major label record deal at the age of 16. By 2013, she exploded on the scene not only dropping big pop songs like ‘Rumour’ and ‘No Strings’ but also found herself nominated for a 2014 BRIT Award. The then pixie-cut beauty graced various magazines from Marie Claire to Vogue Russia. Whilst this would be a dream come true for most artists, Howl decided to part ways with Sony Music opting to take full creative control of her music and destiny.
