Croydon’s own Bugeye make their return in 2023 with a new track dubbed ‘Dancing Out In The Dark’. The song follows their single ‘Signs & Exits’ which dropped at the end of last year.

The brilliance odf ‘Dancing Out In The Dark’ is the fact that Bugeye have managed to mesh multiple evident genres which on paper would be questionable, yet ironically fit together like pieces of a puzzle. There is the punk funk bass line, alternative guitar riffs, 90s pop melodies, and a big gang chorus. The result is absolutely addicting. Channeling the spirit of teenage fun, Bugeye have crafted one incredible and effective single.

Regarding the song, lead singer Angela Martin stated:

“Myself, Lisa and Paula wrote this song together at Storm studios in North London. The song came together quite quickly with bouncing ideas of each other to construct each section of the song – we played around with stripping the song back to its bare bones and building each section from there. We then took the song to producer Paul Tipler to record over a couple of days.”
