Bristol band Football FC may only have a few records out, but one thing is certain, this band packs a punch! After releasing the impressive post-punk / coldwave track ‘No Lover Like A Luger’, the group now return with their thunderous single ‘Big Time’. Striking like a heavyweight boxer’s uppercut to the chin, the tune finds Football FC yet again executing a perfect mesh of hard-edged post-punk and new wave, with the lyrical content painting a window into the mind of a capitalist. A deep, reverberating bass line is the pipeline of the instrumentation whilst sinister guitar lines lash throughout. Another stellar offering, we can’t wait to hear more from the promising outfit.
