Hailed as one of the greatest musicians to emege from the Brasilian music scene, singer/guitarist Milton Nascimento will perform at the Théâtre Maisonneuve for the Montreal Jazz Festival, June 25, 2011.

Blending a mixture of African folk, bossa nova, jazz and more, Nascimento’s lyrics rang of topics dealing with everything from spirituality to the Black experience. Albums such as the 1967 released “Travessia” and appearances on albums such as jazz giant Wayne Shorter’s “Native Dancer” helped to launch Milton Nascimento to international success, making him a househould name in Brasil and countries throughout.
