Australia-based artist Bonniesongs taps into minimalism at its finest with her latest single ‘Coo Coo’. Consisting of a repeating guitar riff and a simple 4×4 drum kick, Bonniesongs uses multi-vocals to fill in the open gaps of the track. Experimental on more of the art pop side of things, the track is taken from Bonniesongs’ forthcoming debut LP Energetic Mind, landing September 6th via Small Pond Records.

Touching on the track, Bonniesongs said:

“I was getting frustrated having not recorded or released anything a few years ago and Dave offered to record a couple tracks at his home. I came over and recorded this track one afternoon, then, when it came to putting down the album, we decided to just use this recording and layer some drums and bass synth.”
