Black Thought is considered to be one of the greatest emcees of all time, and rightfully so. Whilst the ever long debate of who is in the Top 5 list have been on going for years now, there has to be something said for when an emcee is literally praised by most of rappers who are even considered in the category!
Having dropped his Streams of Thought EP series over the past couples years in which The Roots co-founder connects with various producers (the first volume being with 9th Wonder / Khrysis and the second with Salaam Remi), Black Thought now gives us a taste of Vol. 3 with his latest track and video ‘Thought vs Everybody’. The music production comes courtesy of Sean C with the visuals being a short film directed by Rodney Passé. Shot in Kings Theater in Brooklyn, the video weaves clips of Black Thought sitting on a crown like chair and footage of prominent African American freedom fighters, modern protests and more. Whilst 2020 has been undoubtedly a rough year, a new Black Thought EP will help to ease the pain. Check it out.
