Hull band bdrmm have unveiled their new single ‘Shame’. Atmospheric yet haunting, the song is a stir of post-punk and shoegaze led by hypnotic guitar lines, subtle drums and a catchy bass line, all existing on a spacious palette. Whilst the tune is semi-mellow, there is a hypnotic allure that works with snake-charming magic, constantly reeling in the listener. The track is taken from bdrmm’s upcoming EP If Not, When?, out October 11th.
In regards to the song, bdrmm said:
“‘Shame’ is about the heartache of having to tell someone you care about the most that being together can’t work, for whatever reason – having to be the person who takes it upon themselves to do the right thing, even though it feels so wrong.”
