he news has come that drum and bass producer, DJ and host Bailey will leave BBC Radio 1xtra after a decade of being with the station. D&B with Bailey presented some of the finest drum and bass songs and guests in the business. No other details were posted regarding the departure except that Bailey would end the show around early September. Below is what Bailey wrote on his website.

The time has come for me to move on from BBC 1Xtra as of the beginning of September 2012. I’ve loved every minute of what I and my teams have managed to accomplish over the last 10 years, some which will be hard to replicate. It is with great anticipation that I plan to proceed with the next chapter of my journey, and whether on radio, on tour or in production, I’ll still be here doing what I do best….., representing the music I love with passion.
