After releasing the impressive “Changry” EP back in 2013, London producer Ashworth makes his grand return on Native City Records with the “Farrell” EP. Ripe with Ashworth’s imprint of deep techno, the title track hits the mark with jolting, cosmic keys atop heavy drum kicks while Nottingham’s Dudley Strangeways brilliantly compliments the original version with a titillating deep house remix. Ashworth ventures further in the deep sector with the husky yet grooving cut “Chopper”, as Berlin-based producer Mike Starr rounds out the EP with a darker, nocturnal techno reworking of the cut. The EP has gained support from heavy hitters such as Maya Jane Coles. Ashworth’s “Farrell” EP is a dauntless and exciting record that should please those who like their techno future foward, heavy and to the core.
The “Farrell” EP is out May 7 on Native City Records.
