Montreal-based artist Annie-Claude Deschênes steps up with her new single ‘Main de Fer’. The song is currently out on Italians Do It Better / Bonsound.
What initially launches as an off-kilter rhythm, yet sounding meditative, ‘Main de Fer’ progresses into a thundering club track. The production is quite unorthodox fusing elements of semi-industrial, new wave, and house, yet topped with her vocal delivery that actually reminds listeners of her post-punk background. The non-conformist nature of the song is what makes it magical. This is a great follow up to Annie-Claude Deschênes’ debut LES MANIÈRES DE TABLE which dropped last year.
