With her debut album on the way, Los Angeles-based singer Haylie Davis follows-up her previous singles ‘Country Boy’ and ‘Golden Age’ with her new track entitled ‘Young Man’.
A country meets indie folk offering, ‘Young Man’ finds Haylie Davis in a space of tenderness and understanding yet self-protecting. Using lush melodies as ear candy, there is a spaciousness to the production that allows for the vocalist to fly.
Haylie Davis has also shared an accompanying video to coincide with the track. You can watch it down below.
Regarding ‘Young Man’, Haylie Davis stated:
“‘Young Man’ was born a few years back in a Texas green room while I was out on tour with Sam Burton. I was fresh off a breakup, emotionally raw, and the song arrived naturally in that in-between space – part exhaustion, part reflection, part release. Later, I brought it to life with Michael Harris at Valentine Recording Studio. Working with Michael was a joy; he creates an atmosphere that’s both encouraging and effortless, making the recording process feel less like work and more like discovery.”
