Dropping their album Best Behavior back in January of this year, Portuguese band Them Flying Monkeys close out the year with a new single titled ‘Big Boy’.

‘Big Boy’ is an energy level raising mesh of post-punk, alternative and dance-punk that is in your face, loud, and ultimately grooving. Produced by Jeremy R. G. Snyder of IDLES, and Fontaines D.C. fame, the track is an incredibly strong smasher to end 2025 with. You can expect the crowds to go completely bonkers when Them Flying Monkeys perform it live.

Touching on the single, Them Flying Monkeys mentioned:

“Big Boy was supposed to be the weaker of two demos we took into the studio. It didn’t have a chorus, the ideas were still pretty raw, and most parts were missing instruments. But as we started tracking and reworking the structure, we got really excited about what was taking shape. We decided to release Big Boy first — probably intoxicated by the thrill of discovering what a song can become and watching it come to life.”
