Jenny Hirons, better known as simply Hirons, has unveiled a new single titled ‘Being the Cause’. The song is featured on her forthcoming debut EP Future Perfect, landing November 7th on Western Vinyl.

A charming handing of experimental art pop, the decorative production is stacked with what can be only described as bubbling futurism. Unconventional drum kicks with echoing snares intertwine with sparkling sound design, all the while featuring Hirons singing about breaking free from the drudging normality of everyday work life.

Hirons has also shared an accompanying music video for ‘Being the Cause’, which you can watch down below.

Speaking on ‘Being the Cause’, Hirons mentioned:

“This song is about breaking free from the grind of a monotonous job and the capitalist systems that keep us cut off from ourselves. It’s about shaking off drudgery, returning to play and becoming the cause of our own lives. It was conceived during a time when I felt trapped in mindless work and estranged from myself.”
