Sure Converse has a long standing imprint in American footwear, 117 years to be exact. Sure their sneakers have made an impact over the decades from sports to lifestyle. And a capital SURE, while founded in Massachusetts, to say that Converse has been a West Coast staple for YEARS now, would be an understatement. But let’s be honest, it was no brainer for the brand to collaborate with Tyler the Creator, someone who is not only one of the most influential artists of the now generation of musicians and rappers, but also has the style game in a chokehold. While no stranger to working with Tyler, their latest collab comes in the form of the 1908 Archival Collection.
Essentially they let Tyler have access to the vaults and he gave a couple selections a modern makeover. For a while now the Los Angeles-raised creative has flaunted pastels even with his own GOlF le FLEUR brand. Bringing them over to classic Converse sneakers such as the Jogger and the Naut-1, have made each footwear even more desirable than before, blending classic with the idea of fresh. This is a fantastic collaboration and collection.
