Dermabrasion is the Toronto-based group consisting of Adam Bernhardt and Kat McGouran. Using a musical palette of hardcore, post-punk, industrial, and more, the duo delve into topics such as religion, the power dynamics between humans, and overall sociological examinations.

Dermabrasion will release their debut album titled Pain Behaviour, on January 26th via the Hand Drawn Dracula imprint. Along with the news, the pair have also shared their latest single and video called ‘Halberdier’.

Bold, and definitely hard-hitting, ‘Halberdier’ plays with a sense of urgency as Kat McGouran delivers haunting vocals over a steamrolling production. The video features the band performing the song with the footage actually shot by audience members at a Toronto show. Check it out.
