With their forthcoming album Inner Smile landing this year, Swiss outfit Annie Taylor returns with a new single and video called ‘Schoolgirl’.

‘Schoolgirl’ finds the band delivering punchy alternative with a 90s sensibility. Gini Jungi’s mix of spoken word meets rocker-style singing blend extremely well over the whipping instrumentation. There is also the pop rock, sing-along chorus that, whilst quick in length, is enough to add a little more light-heartedness to the song, allowing for fans to join right in.

The Danny Kötter-directed video features Annie Taylor roaming about town, whilst trippy effects and hazy psychedelic tones are incorporated throughout various clips. The visuals also have a sort of 90s aesthetic. Have a look below.
