German-Brazilian multidisciplinary artist Gloria de Oliveira and American composer Dean Hurley will release their upcoming collaborative album titled Oceans of Time on September 16th via Sacred Bones. With both creatives living in two different countries, the LP is crafted out of ideas passed back and forth online.

One of the songs featured on the forthcoming album is their single ‘All Flowers in Time’. The tune is a reworking of the Jeff Buckley and Elizabeth Fraser tune ‘All Flowers in Time Bend Toward the Sun’, which was an unreleased demo track recorded sometime between 1995 – 96. Whilst the original is more of an acoustic rock handing, Hurley and de Oliveira transform the cut into a dreamy and ambient synthpop piece that is dripping with moodiness.

Touching on the song, Gloria de Oliveira and Dean Hurley stated:

“It’s not lost on us that this song is delicate, hallowed ground… the original recording wasn’t even intended to be heard. Yet its story and essence are what music is all about: real human sentiment poured out, touching the lives of others. We were both moved by the song’s optimism and our cover is simply a crater-like impression made from the bright-burning comet that is the original.”
