Manchester band Gathering of Strangers bring forth their latest single ‘Cherry Red’.
Taking a crafty 80s layering and spreading it atop stadium-style rock of the present, the production of the song jumps right out of the speakers. With singer Conor Rabone painting the narrative of a turbulent relationship that is highly shackling, lush melodies are coupled with sleek guitar lines, pristine synth work and punchy drumming resulting in one grand packaging.
‘Cherry Red’ is out now on all digital platforms.
Regarding the track, Conor Rabone stated:
“‘Cherry Red’ is a tale of your love/hate relationship with fear. His charm gets you in the bedroom but her power chains you to the bed. It’s then up to you whether that’s something you want to escape from or not.”
