Anna of the North has released a new, stripped down version of her 2017 track ‘Lovers’. Dubbed simply ‘Lovers (Home Made)’, the song is set-off with Anna’s vocals and a piano. Eventually guitar strums and slow drums creep in giving the track a dreamy makeover. Whilst quite the contrast of the original version, this rework is definitely on par, giving the cut a different feel and texture.
Touching on the new version of ‘Lovers’, Anna of the North said:
“In 2017 I released my first album. We had a good handful of songs I was really proud of. But ‘Lovers’ was always the one. It naturally ended up being the title track of the album. I always had a great feeling about that song. A year later it got featured in the movie “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before”. This gave the song a new life and now it’s my biggest song with over 50 million streams. I think It’s about time it got a remake. On this one I got a bit inspired by Daniel Caesar and the waltz rhythm. Hope you enjoy it.”
