Back in 2017, Los Angeles band French Vanilla released their self-titled debut LP. Musically harking back to late 70s – early 80s post-punk, funk and no wave, their dynamic energy combined with cheeky deliveries made the band quite exciting.
With their latest album How Am I Not Myself?, French Vanilla pick up from where they left off, adding sprinkles of art pop and fuzzy psych. Produced by Sean Cook, the record plays with the spirit of acts such as Talking Heads and James Chance and the Contortions. Comprised of 10-tracks, the four-piece are lively as ever.
