Originally from Yorkshire but now residing in London, Mice On Mars have released their debut EP Northern Soul via Permanent Creeps Records. Whilst the title could easily make one think of the legendary Manchester rhythm and blues movement of old, this is unadulterated, raw punk and post-punk at its very finest. Comprised of four songs in total, the group deliver dynamic performances packed with fiery energy that makes you utterly yearn for more. Incorporating everything from rockabilly guitar strums to fuzzy garage riffs, there is even a slight nod at groups like The Fall on their cut ‘He’ll Get His Way’. Mice On Mars have surely dropped a winner.
