Bergen band Chain Wallet has unveiled their ethereal single ‘World I Used to Call Mine’. The song comes ahead of their second full-length which is slated to land sometime in 2019. Blending lush indie with a dream pop topping, the group also manages to capture an 80s post-punk sound which gives the tune a darker edge whilst juggling between lighter melodies. Overall the track is an engaging and reeling release from the band, making us quite excited for the LP.
In a press statement regarding ‘World I Used to Call Mine’, the band wrote:
“The song is about somebody on a quest for a cosmic plan. It is supposed to portray the final phase of a rite of passage, the incorporation ceremony into the new world, but something goes horribly wrong.”
