The 1975 will release their new album A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships on November 30th. Those who have followed the band’s career since the beginning will have surely noted their change in sound over the years. Judging from the songs and videos the group have shared over the past 6 months, they are clearly trying to capture a wider audience.
The 1975 now bring forth their latest video ‘Sincerity Is Scary’. Looking like a grungy skater from two decades back, singer Matty Healy takes to the street to show off a few dance moves. Almost resembling a musical, there is everything from a marching band to a face painted kid in a suit holding up an umbrella while Healy pours water from a ladder. Now mind you, this is one of those tunes from The 1975 that you oh so badly want to hate but you just can’t. There is a fun spirit to the video with the song encompassing a Hip-Hop / RnB / pop hybrid. Check it out.
