Singer, musician and songwriter Mikaela Davis will release her new album Delivery on July 13th via Rounder Records. Having previously shared the title track to the LP, she now unveils the second single release ‘Other Lover’. Touching on a relationship that has taken a turn for the worst, the dreamy pop piece is accompanied by Davis’ lush harp playing, as well as head-bopping drums.

Regarding the song, Mikaela Davis stated:

“Other Lover was written about four years ago in Nashville with Konrad Snyder and Jeremy Lutito. As I recall, we only had a few hours to write before I continued on a tour. The song came together rather quickly, and my manager called all excited when he got the demo. At the time I wasn’t sure I could pull off singing the song, but it’s been a staple in my set ever since! We recorded a whole record together but it was shelved. Other Lover is the one track that made it to ‘Delivery’. I’m so excited to finally share it with you!”
