Having brought forth his single ‘It’s Your Love’ a few months back to welcoming praises, Nia Ekanem has now unveiled his debut EP boasting the same title. Comprised of six songs, the EP is an earnest combo of heartfelt lyricism and gentle folk/soul production that is utterly warming. No frills, this is raw, unadulterated sounds from a place and space of sincerity, which has found Ekanem’s music supported by the likes of BBC1xtra.

Touching on the new EP Nia Ekanem mentioned:

“I’m inspired by life and the different journeys I go through. With this EP I really wanted my listeners to come into my world and feel my emotions. The EP touches on different topics such as, love, changes, happiness, insecurity, freedom, safe haven and more.

The inspiration for the EP is all based on my life and the people around me, the different stages I’ve been through in life, and still go through, as well as conversations I have with my loved ones. The beauty of life and how nothing is certain, but it’s important that we keep going no matter what, and find the beauty for ourselves.”
