Prepare for the biggest dnb night of the year, as legends of the scene join forces to blow the roof off Electric Brixton!
Soundcrash are seriously hyped to announce the biggest drum’n’bass night off the year, with the biggest names from the scene LTJ Bukem, Dillinja, DJ Krust and MC GQ plus very special guest TBA, at the clubbing mecca Electric Brixton on Saturday 22nd October.
Prepare yourself for a night of heavy bass and breaks as these legends come together to blow the roof off Electric Brixton, showing everyone just why they’re still at the top of their game, continuing to set the benchmark.
Headlining the event we’ve got LTJ Bukem, a man who needs no introduction in the drum and bass scene and is one of the greats. His classic training has always been visible with his jazz fusion/ funk influences and intricate piano lines, allowing him to pioneer and nurture the intelligent d&b sound visible throughout his label Good Looking. Along with his production, his experience in live productions through his number of club nights including SPEED with Dj Fabio are visible now more than ever.
To add to proceedings, we’ve got creator of The Valve Soundsystem Dillinja, one of the most respected and revered producers in the drum’n’bass scene. With his trademark combination of dirty stomach-churning basslines and tighter than tight beats, his reputation has been secured as one of the most influential producers in drum’n’bass history, as well as one of the scene’s most called-upon remixers, having worked with everyone from David Bowie to Bjork and Basement Jaxx. A true connoisseur of sound, Dillinja’s mighty 96k Valve Sound System is recognised the world over.
Drum n Bass pioneer and founder of the acclaimed Full Cycle Records with Roni Size, Bristol’s DJ Krust, will be gracing the decks to give us a masterclass in mixing with his archive of classics as well as new hits. Following a sold out Full Cycle Records show at Village Underground earlier this year, you better believe that with a lineup this strong, it will sell out seriously quick.
Hosting the night is none other than MC GQ, continuing to MC at the top of the chain for 15 years with his unmistakale charisma, presence and distinctive sound. His versatility is such that he has always been able to switch up to double time and tear down a rave, or keep the crowd bubbling to a liquid set.
We’ve also got the man that is Tom Central playing a selection of his favourites from the golden era of drum’n’bass 94-98.
This is going to be a night to remember, as four founding fathers of the d’n’b scene join forces to have you going on a nostalgia trip at South London’s best venue Electric Brixton on Saturday 22nd October.
