Knox Brown is a like a silent stealth bomber in the music industry. A top gunner when it comes to production, he also possesses a soulful voice that hits you in the heart. Having shared his track ‘Harry’s Code’ a couple years back, Brown went a little quiet on the solo front. However having worked with Beyoncé, Wretch 32, Jay Z, Emily Sandé and more is pretty much a good reason why! The Jamaican-born, UK-raised powerhouse now makes his return with the track ‘No Slaves’ featuring L.A’s Anderson .Paak. Almost spiritual in a sense, the song’s chopped and bounce style drum pattern combined with the lifting vocal work is another masterful presentation. ‘No Slaves’ is taken from Knox Brown’s forthcoming EP Searching, out August 5th via Virgin EMI.
