London soul sensation Michael Kiwanuka has announced the details of his new album Love & Hate. The LP was produced by GRAMMY Award winning Dangermouse and the UK’s Inflo. Scheduled to land May 27th via Polydor Records, Love & Hate follows Kiwanuka’s critically acclaimed debut album ‘Home Again’, released back in 2012.
Touching on working with Danger Mouse and Inflo, Michael Kiwanuka wrote:
“I’ve always wanted to make an album that felt and sounded like this one. Working with guys as good as Danger Mouse and Inflo really helped me find what I was looking for. I hope this is just the start of more music to come.”
Danger Mouse also commented on recording with Michael Kiwanuka, stating:
“I’d been wanting to work with Michael for a while and once we did a song, we just felt like we should keep going. I knew he had a great voice, but his guitar playing on this album was very important.”
Michael Kiwanuka has also shared the video for the first single taken from Love & Hate titled ‘Black Man In A White World’. The visuals are directed by Hiro Murai, which you can watch down at the bottom.
