London vocalist Semma shares her tune ‘Cut The Rope’, a festive pop bit that is most definitely infectious. Produced by Star Slinger, the synth-spread song is sprinkled with bits of nu-disco and funk that will force you to jump up and shake a leg. Semma’s voice is lush and seductive, making us eager to hear more from the budding star.
Touching on the track, Semma wrote:
“‘Cut The Rope’ is about not wanting to cut ties with someone.I was going through something and I was letting love blind me. I guess in a way the song is about holding on to something that’s not good for you, but it’s all you really want. I had this imagery of ropes and knots and being bound to someone and it just came together after that.”
