Bringing forth a splash of synth-pop is the new single ‘More Than This’ by London-based duo New Arcades. Enlisting singer Lula to provide vocals to the emotive tune, the pair sprinkles the production with bits of 80s peppering, resulting in a soothing and rich delivery.
In a press statement regarding ‘More Than This’, Adam Sullivan of New Arcades wrote:
“We spent a lot of time, changing and manipulating sounds for this one we wanted a unique blend of our existing instruments, with the introduction of some other spatial and unique SFX sounds.
Lula was a late introduction, she’s a good friend, we realised the contrast of her vocal on the chorus not only as a really special unique voice, but also would have an impact on the song emotionally and as a change to the story. We are thrilled to have had her feature, she’s a great artist.
We hope to continue making more special tracks, following the placement of one of the Scenes EP tracks “Don’t Let Go” on a Hollywood movie, we realised the sound has a real strength with moving images and pictures.
This is what inspired the artwork, the girl on the front is represented by Lula on the track.”
