If a good pop song is meant to lift the spirit into a whirlwind of joy, then German band Kytes have surely accomplished the task at hand with their debut single ‘Inner Cinema’. Hitting the listener head on with streaming guitar riffs, 80s synths and an overly catchy chorus, their fusion of indie, pop and electronica is so riveting that you’re likely to play the track several times, happily consuming every note. If this is only the beginning of what they have forthcoming, then we’re salivating, waiting for the next serving.
In a press release statement drummer Timothy Lush wrote:
“INNER CINEMA is an uplifting song, with a driving beat, one that gives you a little break from reality. The songs title makes it clear that we all have our own film running in our heads, be it fiction or fantasy. It’s the cinema inside our own head keeps us all pretty busy.”
