After 12 years on air at BBC Radio 1, DJ and presenter Zane Lowe is leaving the network to relocate to the U.S. where he will officially be working for Apple. His last show is set to air on March 5th according to BBC.

Zane Lowe’s slot will be occupied by fellow Radio 1 presenter Annie Mac beginning March 9th.

Having interviewed and conducted live sessions with some of the biggest names in music including Kanye West, Jay Z, Foo Fighters, Eminem and more, Lowe has also been instrumental in breaking new acts such as Ed Sheeran.

In a statement Zane Lowe wrote:

“I want to thank everyone at Radio 1 for their support and friendship. The station has allowed me to share incredible music with the country’s best music fans.”
