There is something heartfelt about the words of Michigan artist Daniel Wilson. Not one to shy away from the topic of love and heartbreak, there is a conviction that is evident in his delivery of these subjects. Combine that with a heap of soul, sometimes traditional, sometimes experimental production, and what you have is Wilson’s brilliant EP “Boy Who Cried Thunder”. Whilst there is a pop appeal to this new record, by no means does it sound contrived. These are simply organic sonics from a man who has a few things to get off of his chest and heart.
