The shortlist of for the 2014 Barclaycard Mercury Prize has been revealed with FKA twigs, Anna Calvi, Damon Albarn and Young Fathers being among the chosen acts for the running of Album of the Year. This year’s list finds boasts an eclectic and somewhat unexpected choice selection, possibly responding to criticism of public opinion regarding the Mercury Prize in the past. The winner will be announced Oct. 29th with the ceremony taking place at the Roundhouse in London.
