Jah Wobble’s illustrious career spans a number of decades which includes his work with PiL (Public Image Limited), as well as solo releases and collaborations with artists such as Brian Eno, Sinead O’Connor, Björk and more. Already rooted in the UK punk and reggae scene since the late seventies, Jah Wobble aka John Wardle went on to record a sound which fused various elements of world music.
Wardle returns to his love of reggae music with the new album by Dub Colossus vocalist PJ Higgins titled “Inspiration”. Co-produced with Alex McGowan, whose work includes Tricky and Martina Topley Bird, “Inspiration” is a blend of dub, trip-hop and soul, finding John Wardle still operating a high level of consistency and grace. You can preview bits of “Inspiration” below. “Inspiration” is out May 30 on Sonar Kollectiv.
