There are some songs that you simply don’t touch. A Guy Called Gerald’s 1988 record “Voodoo Ray” is listed as a certified club classic and any remixes of the tune would automatically put a frown on our faces. However, Grant Nelson has taken up the bold challenge of creating a new version of the track and nailed it. The remix still maintains the late eighties acid sound but has beefier drums and added synths that gives it just the right touch. Now don’t get carried away, wondering about a release date because this was personally done for himself to play out. But hopefully in the near future he will give it away as a free download.
