To place the dubstep title on London producer Silkie would be highly unfair. Years ago when many producers were trying to compete for the most chaotic “wobble”, Silkie was creating a sophisticated hybrid of jazz and funk layered on top of intelliegent, bass fueled electronica at 140 BPM.
Scheduled to land 12th August is Silkie’s new EP “The Lost Tapes. This is a collection of unreleased tracks that Silkie has pulled out from the hardrive. The six song record captures the core of Silkie’s intricate weaving of cosmic rhythms, futuristic jazz and deep bass punches. “The Lost Tapes” will be released on the Deep Medi label.
