In the past, electronica represented the possibilites of modern technology in relation to creating music. A Guy Called Gerald has stood by this belief by pushing various styles of electronic music and staying ahead of the curve with the latest technological offerings. His latest project is the Silent Sound Spread Spectrum record, which is a live recording done via two laptops, Reason and recorded into Pro Tools. With a few samples added in, this recording done the way that electronic music used to be created – without all the flashy gimmicks, but just pure creativity. Here is an except of the recording.
