David Rodigan brings his flagship event RAM JAM to The Forum in London this May and he’s curated a monster line-up to celebrate. A conceptual club night, David hand picks the freshest talent from the contemporary music scene, mixed with heritage acts, held together with a common theme of dub, roots and culture.
This one-off special in the Capital features some massive names that combined are a force to be reckoned with. Rodigan brings along with him Toddla T Sound, Ms Dynamite, reggae legend and Birmingham resident Bitty McLean, not to mention Manchester duo Dub Phizix & Strategy, Liverpool’s new darling of the after-hour Mele and original London selectors Rootikal Selectors and there’s a surprise in store. David has an incredible special guest, who will not be revealed until the night, but it promises to be worth the wait and they’ll be playing like you’ve never seen them before, and never will again.
Rodigan says; “I can’t wait to unveil the surprise special guest on the night! It’s truly a one-off performance from a multi platinum act and it’s going to shock a lot of people when they walk out on stage!”
David Rodigan counts a Sony Academy Gold Award, The World Clash Cup and his MBE as recent highlights from the past 12 months. Add to that his new Sunday evening show on BBC Radio 1Xtra and a new summer long series on parent station BBC Radio 2, its no-wonder ‘the rude-boy gentleman’ is cemented as the most legendary reggae DJ and broadcaster ever.
Over recent years David has been embraced by a new generation of bass loving punters by staying true to his craft, honest about his love for the music and by his continuous mission to spread the good word of reggae music to a new and youthful audience.
