The Strut label has been delivering quality re-issues for a number of years, making them one of the go to sources for hard to find records by deejays. They up the levels once more with their compilation “Change The Beat: The Celluloid Records Story 1979-1987”, which is two disc release of various genres from the Celluloid imprint. One of the tracks included is “Disco Rough” by the Parisian duo Mathematiques Modernes. The group was comprised of french party girl Edwige Braun-Belmore and Claude Arto who didn’t actually record that many albums or singles. Here is a preview of the the 80s synth heavy tune. “Change The Beat: The Celluloid Records Story 1979-1987” is out March 5th, 2013.
