On Feb. 3, 2011, the J Dilla Foundation will present the “One Won’t Do Pt. 2” J Dilla Tribute at Drom in New York City. Featuring at the event will be three artists with extremely close ties to the late J Dilla…Q-Tip, T3 of Slum Village and J Dilla’s younger brother Illa J. Doors will open at 8:00pm. James Yancey also known to the world as Jay Dee or J Dilla, sadly passed away in 2006 after a long battle with Lupus. Dilla’s production credits include high profile artists such as Janet Jackson, Busta Rhymes, A Tribe Called Quest, Erykah Badu, Common and a long list of others. The music world continues to celebrate the legacy left by one of Hip-Hop’s greatest producers.
