The Kills Return with ‘New York/LA Hex’ 7″

Back in 2020 Rock & roll mainstays The Kills released their compilation record 'Little Bastards'. The LP followed a four year hiatus since their 2016 album 'Ash & Ice'. Now make a return in 2023, The Kills have shared not one, but two songs as well as accompanying videos.

The Kills ‘List of Demands (Reparations)’ Video

Indeed we love The Kills, but we love them ever more considering that they just did a cover version of Saul Williams' 'List of Demands (Reparations)'. It should be noted that we love Saul just as much as The Kills so in this case, it's a win/win situation. The Kills have also shared the video for the song. Directed by Ben Strebel, the set-up resembles an interrogation of sorts with Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince facing one another in handcuffs. There are also chained inmates dancing with hooding over their heads, which typically reflects torture. The song is taken from a 7' release by The Kills which includes a cover of Peter Tosh's 'Steppin’ Razor'. Have a look.

The Kills to Release ‘Echo Home – Non-Electric’ EP

The Kills have announced the release of their new EP 'Echo Home – Non-Electric'. Schduled to land June 2. Recorded at Electric Lady Studios, the record celebrates the 15 years since the band's 'Black Rooster' EP. Aside from a digital release, there will also be limited edition 10" vinyls available for purchase on August 18th. Included on the EP is an acoustic cover version of Rihanna's 'Desperado', which was shared via an acoustic performance video.

The Kills ‘Siberian Nights’ Video

The Kills are on fire as of late. With their forthcoming album 'Ash & Ice' landing June 3rd via Domino Records, the duo have already blessed the world with their red hot cuts 'Doing It To Death' and 'Heart Of A Dog'. The Kills now share the video to their song 'Siberian Nights'. Directed by Giovanni Ribisi, the cinematic visuals reflect what appears to be a kind of forth happening sacrafice amongst a cult-like group of people and a main figure. There is also a vicious looking white added to the equation with clips of a horse dashing about in the night. This is one of those videos that you will probably need to watch a couple of times to get the full gist.

The Kills ‘Doing It To Death’ Video

Leave it up to Jamie Hince and Alisson Mosshart aka The Kills to throw the most fashionable funeral on earth. Here is the official video for the new single 'Doing It To Death'. Directed by Wendy Morgan, the duo ride through a graveyard while sharp dressed men carry the casket, followed by another pack of gents stepping in sync with ultra cool. The song is taken from The Kills' forthcoming album 'Ash & Ice', landing June 3rd via Domino Records. Check it out.

Alison Mosshart Kicks Off Debut Solo Art Show

It's been well documented that The Kills' Alison Mosshart is not just a respected singer and musician, but a talented visual artist. Running from June 18th - July 11th at the Joseph Gross Gallery in New York will be Mosshart's debut solo exhibition entitled 'Fire Power'. The show will feature 127 pieces of work consisting of abstract drawings, paintings and mixed media.
