Alice Phoebe Lou's music is a diary of her life and journey, the ups, downs and everything in-between. The Cape Town-raised singer whose career kicked off from busking in the streets of Berlin, quickly caught the eyes of record labels after her 2014 TEDx performance. Opting for full creative freedom, Lou remained independent, releasing her 2014 EP 'Momentum', followed by acclaimed 2016 debut album 'Orbit'. Tender, organic and chopped with creative songwriting and ridiculously lush melodies, Alice Phoebe Lou's latest record 'Paper Castles' finds the singer truly at her best across the board.

If you check the music history of Cape Town producer TZARA, one thing that you'll find is her work rate of creating tracks is on another level. It should also be noted that musical palette is a diverse at they come. Experimenting with a wide array of electronica, her latest track is a soulful and jazzy house flip of the 1985 Rare Silk song 'Storm', which is taken from their LP 'American Eyes' released on Palo Alto Records.

Premiere: Dubokaj & Fortune Shumba ‘Trinidadian Babies’

If we're to have the conversation about dub in Switzerland, then we have to go straight to the man who is one of the better at creating it, Daniel Jakob aka Dubokaj. Originating what he labels Alpine Dub, the multi-instrumentalist released his debut LP boasting the same title back in 2016. Carving an imprint in his name in the digital dub landscape, Dubokaj know teams up with South African artist Fortune Shumba for their new collaborative EP 'Dubokaj Meets Fortune Shumba'. Comprised of seven songs split between vocal versions and dubs, this melting pot of not only musical styles but cultures have been cultivated into a package that will not only properly serve traditionalists but the future dub circuit as well. Scheduled to get released July 14 via Mouthwatering Records, we have a premiere of Dubokaj and Fortune Shumba's 'Trinidadian Babies'. You may want to turn up your speakers for this one!
