Maud Geffray may already be familiar to fans of the Parisian group Scratch Massive but as a solo artist she is proving that she is an entity on to herself.
Geffray’s latest LP ‘Polaar’ is a deep, nocturnal journey through various styles of electronica ranging from house to electro pop and even new wave. Whilst haunting sound palettes are not foreign to the electronic world, Maud Geffray’s multifaceted selection of tempos and often times delivery of mood makes the LP highly pleasurable. Cinematic instrumental tracks such as ‘Voices from the Sky’ are balanced with steamy synth pop layered tunes like the catchy ‘In Your Eyes’ which features Flavien Berger.
Parisian duo 3615 Nuits Blanches’ unveiled their debut album ‘About Last Night’ in March. With a sound that’s extremely sexy, the pair have released the video for their current single ‘Don’t Wanna Dance’. Replicating footage from an 80s VHS tape, cosmic background footage and glitter-painted singer Antonine de Pompadou is what you get with these retro-styled clips.

With Kerri Chandler’s Madtech label continuing to release some of the hottest house music in the scene, the next offering from the imprint comes from French producers Clyde P and Tim Baresko titled the ‘True’ EP. Comprised of two cuts, the EP is vibrant and upbeat packaging of house sprinkled with a Chicago influence, specifically the sound of jack, whilst also incorporating elements of tech.
