Fever Kids Return With Their Upbeat Synth-pop Cut ‘Living In Fame’

Greece’s pop queen Σtella unleashed her second LP ‘Works For You’ back in February of this year. Racking in critical praises from the press, she joins forces with again with Alex Z, returning with their Fever Kids band. The pair released their ‘Play Hard’ single in 2012, following up with their ‘Peter, Debbie, Mary’/’Holding Grass’ 7″ in 2014. Known for their glistening brand of synth-pop, Fever Kids have now shared their new cut ‘Living In Fame’. Upbeat in tempo, their indie meets pop stir has made for an exciting return for the Athens band with hopefully more tracks coming this year.

Out April 7th via Inner Ear Records, Baby Guru have also shared their latest single ‘Tell Me What You’re Made Of’. Constantly morphing and reshaping their sound, the track joyously sits between pop and indie as funk strums and a rubber band bass line are parts that helped to make this an infectious wonderland of sound. Athens-based Stella Chronopoulou aka Σtella continues to drop some of the finest synth-pop cuts around stemming back to the days with Fever Kids. Her 2015 self-titled LP was one of our top picks of that year, and now Σtella is gearing up for the release of her forthcoming LP ‘Works For You’, out in February. Linking up with Nteibint for the production of the forthcoming record, she has unveiled a new single titled ‘Way To Go’. Led by a subtle guitar riff, the song progresses to a chic and sultry pop beauty, something that Chronopoulou has built a firm reputation on. ‘Works For You’ will get released via Inner Ear Recordings. Listen to Sundayman’s Cinematic and Haunting Track ‘Alive’

Athens producer Kyriakos Moustakas aka Sundayman has had his hand in the musical pot for a number of years now, releasing his 2009 album ‘Outerland’ and 2012’s ‘Retronome’, not to mention his work with Yellow Slots. With his third LP ‘Scene Missing’ out November 7th, Sundayman has shared his new track ‘Alive’, taken from the upcoming album. Somewhere between cinematic synth pop, 80s new wave and haunting electronica of today, Moustakas’s eerie vocals along with the creeping keys help to push this cut into an all-out apocalyptic soundscape of goodness. Preview Gioumourtzina’s ‘Blakk Metall’ LP

Whenever a release pops up on the Inner Ear label out of Greece, you know it’s worth checking out. The latest offering comes from Gioumourtzina with their debut LP ‘Blakk Metall’. Dark yet subtle, the duo twist together ropes of new wave, shoegaze, indie and haunting electronica. Bold and obscure at times, Gioumourtzina surely know how to scale back at just the right amount to keep listeners tuned in whilst taking them on a mental and twisting ride of experimentation. ‘Blakk Metall’ is currently out now on Inner Ear Recordings. Stream Greek Band Mechanimal’s New LP ‘Delta Pi Delta’

Known for their punchy sound of industrial, post-punk and dark-electro sound, Athens band Mechanimal now unveil their third LP ‘Delta Pi Delta’, which is out via Inner Ear Records. Adding vocalist Eleni Tzavara to the group, the new recording reflects the inspiration drawn from the band’s journey into the outskirts of Athens, absorbing the aesthetics of Greece’s magical landscape. Brilliantly delivering moody traces of new wave, indie and dance, while still driving their industrial signatures, ‘Delta Pi Delta’ is the Mechanimal at their most streamlined and entertaining.
