It’s been a six year span since Black Moth Super Rainbow dropped their LP ‘Cobra Juicy’ back in October of 2012. However, the group now make their return with a new album titled ‘Panic Blooms’, out May 4th on Rad Cult. The group have also shared their single ‘Mr No One’. What the band describes as ‘liquid goth’, is a tender synth led experimental concoction of dreamy minimalism, swirling with synth-wave undertones. Anna Von Hausswolff returns with her new single ‘The Truth, The Glow, The Fall’, taken from her upcoming fourth LP ‘Dead Magic’, out March 2nd on City Slang. With the song running literally over 12 minutes, Hausswolff delivers a hauntingly surreal slice of audible cinema, which on the surface could feel like patches of melancholy yet when simply absorbed in its magic, is utter beauty. Completely breath-taking, Anna Von Hausswolff has yet again created something masterful and enticing.
Glasgow’s The Ninth Wave are a group that absolutely need to be on your radar. Unleashing their massive song ‘Reformation’ a couple months back, the group now strike with the heaviest of blows with their latest cut ‘Liars’. Powered by lashing guitars, racing drums and impacting vocals that perfectly reel together dark pop melodies with a post punk angst, the track is taken from their latest EP which is currently out now. Zola Jesus has unveiled the extremely haunting visuals for her single ‘Exhumed’. Directed and shot by Jacqueline Castel, the stark black and white video features Zola Jesus in an almost ghostly form in the woods whilst emerging from the ground, seemingly to represent a burial of sorts. Intense flashes and quick cuts add to the eerie feel of the video with the goth style of the music itself coincide extremely well. The song is taken from Jesus’ forthcoming album ‘Stridulum’, out September 8th.

Swedish band INVSN are set to release their new album ‘The Beautiful Stories’ on June 9th via Dine Alone Records. If you bought a copy of their 2013 self-titled debut LP, then you’re highly familiar with the band’s premium style of post-punk, new wave and heavy alternative rolled up in one grandioso sound. One of the songs taken from the upcoming album is the heavy, power driver ‘Immer Zu’.
