The Murder Capital Unleash a Cover of the FKA twigs Track ‘Cellophane’

With their new EP 'Live From BBC Maida Vale' out now, Dublin band The Murder Capital have dropped their version of the FKA twigs tune 'Cellophane'. Whilst the song begins as an airy re-working of minimalism, it eventually transitions into a heavy post-punk crusher. Intense at peak points, the boys bring the sound back down to that previous space of peaceful moments, which is down quite masterfully.

Slothrust Unveil Their Cover of ‘Baby One More Time’

Placing Slothrust and Brittany Spears in the same sentence sounds about as crazy as calling Donald Trump sensible. However, whilst one wouldn't immediately associate the Boston alternative band with a pop act like Spears, they have created quite the cover version of her hit single 'Baby One More Time'. Completely restructuring the cut into a swinging alt rock hitter 10 times better than the original version in our opinion, the song is taken from Slothrust's 'Show Me How You Want It To Be' EP of covers which also includes reworkings of Black Sabbath's 'Electric Funeral' and Al Green's 'Let’s Stay Together', just to name a few. Have a listen below.

Tove Lo Shares Her Cover of The Weeknd’s ‘Real Life’

Stockholm's Tove Lo hasn't been shy about naming The Weeknd's 'Beauty Behind the Madness' one of her top albums of 2015. In fact, the Swedish singer has shared a cover of his tune 'Real Life', which is featured on the LP. Recorded with Gustav Weber, Tove Lo's version is definitely more uptempo and dance floor friendly. Unquestionably catchy, this rendition is quite up to par with the original, with Lo adding her own niche twist to the cut. You can listen to the 'Real Life' cover down below.
